SPLASH
Attended the Spring Rendezvous in Norfolk, Virginia May 1-4. There was a "planning" track for choosing and preparing your boat, and a "route" track providing information on what to expect traveling from Florida to the Great Lakes. A lot of energy and information. When we checked out from the hotel, we headed to Richmond to get our "boat stuff" out of storage and head back to Connecticut.

Niantic, Connecticut, where we found our Looper boat listed on YachtWorld back in October. We wanted a boat 32-40 ft, with both bow and stern thrusters, air conditioning, not too many hours on the engine, generator, good electronics, and also affordable! We talked with our agent, he talked to the seller's agent, we all flew out for a hull survey and sea trial. We purchased the boat which was hauled out of the water for the winter. We were present when it was "splashed" mid-May.
